Women must cover their entire body including the hair, leaving only the face, hands and feet exposed. It is stated that her entire body is `Awrah and must be covered, except her hands and face. Says Allah in the Qur’an: “And to display of their adornment only that which is apparent (do not expose any adornment or … This is based on what was reported in the Hadiths from Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) that state that all a woman’s body is `Awrah.

Allah Almighty says in the Qur'an, " and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their head covers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands " (An-Nur 24:31)

Covering the `awrah is one of the prerequisites of Prayer.

Allah says in the Qur'an,"O Children of Adam, take your adornment (by wearing proper clothing) for every mosque." '544 Women cannot lead men in salah. A: Scholars (may Allah be merciful to them) stated that a woman’s entire body is `Awrah, and thus she has to cover it all in Salah except the face. There is a great difference in the awrah of a man and that of a woman in salah. He said to him: ‘O Ma’mar, cover your thighs, for they are (part of) `Awrah.” (Ahmad) Women’s Awrah. Ummul Mu'mineen Aisha (R) reports that the Prophet ( ) said, 'Allah does not accept the salah of a mature female without a scarf. There is no such controversy over what constitutes a woman's `awrah.
