Canada and Australia will not be sending athletes to the Tokyo Olympics in the summer of 2020. The Canadians only had a duet in 2016, after missing qualifying a team for the first time in the country’s history. Canada, Mexico Qualify to 2020 Olympics Canada has qualified to the Olympics next year after winning the duet and team events at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. Competing chefs take part on a voluntary basis – which is quite the commitment, considering most teams begin preparations for the event at least two years in advance.
