Chrono Cross' system is more natural and fluent, maybe, because it doesn't depend on stocking Ethers to replenish Magic Points, and doesn't take a turn in battle to use an Ether to increase Magic Points so that more tech moves can be done. I've been rediscovering my love of Chrono Cross through emulation since SE doesn't give it (or the series in general) the attention it deserves. Chrono Cross is hands the hardest game to get running 100% on any emulator.

Enjoy chrono cross emulated. Dude, I'm not gonna try to fight with you, but common sense dictates that if the medium you are playing the game on is flat, the game will be flat too With the right settings, it looks a lot better then if played on ps1. I remember having to mess with that option when configuring CC.

This was one of the experiments. I like both systems, though Chrono Cross' is definitely more advanced and can be requiring a bit more attention and strategic thinking in battles. So I'm planning to do a playthrough of a ps1 era JRPG, but I'm struggling with the render settings on the emulator.

I will … After the select vabration on/off option the game goes to a black screen and thats it, I want to know if its my settings or did I get a bad ISO: EMu and settings:EpsxE 1.6.0Petes Open GL driver 1.76Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41SaPus CD-ROM Plugin 1.0 With the right settings, it looks a lot better then if played on ps1. Try this though, in the "Special game fixes" option at the bottom, activated it and then select the "Odd/even bit hack".

That said, I had similar problems but trying to remember how I fixed it.

So, yeah...got into Xenogears a bit too much, then played around with emulating Chrono Cross and ended up getting into it, too.
